It yields Super-Flexible variation with Flexible softness, laying down a smooth and consistent XF line that widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.0mm) under moderate pressure. Thin hairlines, strong snap-back, and reliable flow over its full range of flex make it an excellent choice for calligraphic writing styles.

Condition: This pen would grade as excellent were it not for a chip out of the edge of the GF barrel band closest to the nib. The chip is to the band only and does not extend to the underlying hard rubber. Aside from that the bands are very clean with no brassing or other noteworthy blemishes. Hard rubber retains its dark black color with virtually no fading. Chasing on the barrel is very weak, being lightly visible when the light strikes it. Ditto the manufacturer imprint on the barrel, which is mostly legible but requires a good eye or loupe to make it out. Surface shows minor drawer wear but no deep scratches or other noteworthy blemishes. Pen caps on the section and posts to the barrel-end securely with no unusual looseness or tightness. Lucky Curve feed is intact with no damage to the tail or X-mas tree portion under the nib.

Details: The highly uncommon #6 model was made in the intervening decade between 1894, when Parker was founded, and the debut of their button filling system in the 1910s. Lucky Curve banner imprint indicates this example was made after 1904. It’s a taper cap eyedropper made with a black chased hard rubber barrel with 2 heavy, gold-filled barrel bands hammered into an ornate repoussé, a repeating snail and ellipse pattern. Cap is smooth BHR from the factory. A scarce find for the Parker collector.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0918/5165/3419/files/Parker_Lucky_Curve_6_Taper_Cap_Fountain_Pen_14k_nib_flex_flexible_superflex_wet_noodle_vintage_restored.jpg?v=1781835599
https://penchantment.com/products/c-1904-10-parker-lucky-curve-6-taper-cap-eyedropper-fountain-pen-flex-superflex
