Color: Art Deco pattern
Materials: Gold-filled over hard rubber
Filling System: Lever filler (resacced and guaranteed to fill and write as designed)

Nib: This pen is a Retrofit: the custom installation of a 14k iridium-tipped dip pen nib that’s adjusted and tuned to ensure factory performance. That 14k Grieshaber Chicago #1 nib is a Wet Noodle with painterly softness and flow. Its size and lack of breather hole limit its max line width to the Flexible range but its variation is enhanced by Needlepoint hairlines under normal pressure. It lays down a smooth and consistent XXF line that widens to a 3B+ (approx 1.8mm) under minimal pressure. Needlepoint hairlines, effortless variation, and reliable flow over its full range of flex make it an ideal choice for calligraphic writing styles such as Copperplate and Spencerian.
Condition: Overlay and trim have no dents, dings, brassing or other notable flaws. BHR parts retain their factory black color with no discernible oxidation and no noteworthy blemishes. Manufacturer stamps on cap, clip, and lever are all deep and fully legible.
Details: The Eclipse pen company of New York City divided their model lineup into different names, or sub-brands, of increasing quality and price. At the low end was Park Row, followed by Marxton, with Eclipse being the top of the line. This top-of-the-line overlay is 14k gold-filled (as stamped near the top of the cap) over hard rubber. Ornate, Art Deco, machine turned pattern consisting of leaves, flowers, and vertical lines.
