Details: Originally based in New York City, Mabie Todd was founded in 1859 by John Mabie, Edward Todd, and J. Sprague Bar. Their first fountain pen was made c.1878 and their Swan pens date back to c.1890. Like Waterman's Hundred Year, Parker's Blue Diamond, and Sheaffer's White Dot pens, top of the line Swans were consecrated with a name that touted their durability. Enter the Swan Eternal of the 1920s: some of the finest pens of the period, solidly constructed with meticulous attention to detail.
