Vintage: 1940s
Make: Parker
Model: Vacumatic Junior (3rd generation)
Color: Silver Pearl (with transparent barrel striations)
Materials: Celluloid, nickel-plated trim
Filling System: Vacumatic (fully restored and guaranteed to fill to capacity with no leaks or other problems)
Length: This full-sized, 3rd-generation model measures 5” capped.
Nib: 14k Vac Jr nib lays down a smooth and consistent XF line.
Condition: Nickel-plated trim is exceptionally clean with no brassing or other notable wear – just some tiny microscratches. Celluloid surface is smooth and lustrous with no deep scratches or other noteworthy blemishes. Superb barrel clarity of a yellow color with ink level readily visible when filled. Manufacturer imprint on barrel is deep and fully legible aside from the far right side including the date code, which has worn away.
Details: The Junior was the same size as the Major that replaced the 1st-gen Standard but came with a different trim configuration with two thin cap bands in place of the chevron band and a non-Blue Diamond clip. While it didn’t carry Parker’s lifetime guarantee, it was made to the same exacting standards.
