Filling System: Snorkel Filler. Provides a clean fill even from the very bottom of the bottle since only the Snorkel tube needs to be submerged, not the nib or feed. This pen received a full filling system overhaul with all seals and sac replaced. Section sealed with rosin-based sealant. Guaranteed to fill to capacity with good pressure and no leaks. To fill one: (1) turns the blindcap to fully extend the Snorkel tube from the feed; (2) pulls the blindcap back to fully extend the pump; (3) submerses the Snorkel tube in ink; then (4) depresses the blindcap back into the barrel with one smooth stroke.

Nib: Conical 14k two-tone nib, with upturned point in the Waverly style to enhance smoothness, lays down a smooth and consistent XF/F line

Condition: Cap and clip are clean with no dents, brassing, or notable wear aside from 1 sliver of brassing on the bottom of the cap band on one side of the cap and a small ding to the captop that’s rather common on these models. Plastic has a smooth, lustrous surface with no deep scratches or other noteworthy blemishes – scarcely even any microscratches. Barrel imprint is factory deep and fully legible.

Details: Appearing after Sheaffer introduced a new range of colors with color-matching sections in 1956, this is a Sentinel model in another one of the rarest Snorkel colors: Mandarin Orange. The Sentinel is a White-Dot model distinguished by its two-tone, polished stainless steel cap with gold-filled cap band and clip as well as by its two-tone 14k conical nib.
